Accounts & Team
An account owns your bots, conversations, contacts, bookings, and subscription. The person who signs up is the owner. You can invite teammates (staff) to work in the same account.
Roles
| Role | Can | Cannot |
|---|---|---|
| Owner | Everything — billing, plan changes, invites, delete account | — |
| Staff | Use assistants, view conversations / leads / bookings, edit bot content | Change plan, manage billing, invite other staff, delete the account |
Staff cannot escalate themselves. Only the owner can promote, demote, or remove a staff member.
Invite a teammate
- Go to Settings → Team (owner only)
- Click Invite teammate
- Enter the email address — Awentail sends them an email with a one-time invitation link
- They click the link, set a password (or sign in with Google), and land in your account
Invitations expire after 7 days. You can revoke an invite anytime from the same view.
Switching accounts
If you’re the owner of one account and staff on another, the top navigation shows an account switcher. Pick the account you want to work in; the URL, sidebar, and data all update.
Each account is fully isolated — assistants, contacts, billing, everything.
Impersonation (support only)
For support tickets, our team can log in as user with your explicit written consent. We do this only:
- For a specific support session, requested by you
- With a banner shown on your account during the session
- Logged in our internal audit trail (account ID, support agent ID, timestamps, actions taken)
You can end an impersonation session anytime from the account switcher — the End session action is always visible.
Removing a teammate
In Settings → Team, click the menu next to the teammate’s name and choose Remove. They lose access immediately. Their past actions stay attributed to them in conversation logs and audit trails.
